A Ladybird Book of Colouring is a small pocket sized hard-backed colouring book in the classic Ladybird books format. The book contains twenty-four classic Ladybird covers for you to colour. On the left page there is a colour thumbnail of the original colour for you to follow or you could colour however you wish to.

The paper is bright white and is quite thin, turning the pages you can often see the print on the other side; however if you are not too bothered about the thumbnails and place a piece of paper behind the page you are colouring there is nothing to stop you from using your markers. A few of the designs are quite simple and bold, other however are more detailed and you will need sharp pencils or fine-liners to get into some of the tiny spaces.

The illustrations are printed in a in consistant clear fine-line black ink which is fixed and so does not get transferred to the opposite page when you are colouring. The images, all of them Vintage Ladybird front covers; range from well-loved tales Cinderella, Cooking with Mother, Aesops Fables, Puss In Boots, Learning to Sew, Easy to Make Puppets and Tootles the Taxi. It is a perfect size to fit in your pocket/handbag to take out with you.

I was kindly sent a Copy of A Ladybird Book of Colouring in exchange for a fair and honest review by Ladybird books. All thoughts and comments are my own honest opinion.
