For over a century Mills and Boon (founded 1908) have been printing Romance novels, and this lovely book is a celebration of that achievement. spanning the novels from the 1920’s to 2015 it comprises of 47 of its iconic covers recreated as linework pictures for you to colour yourself.
Opposite each page is the year the picture is from and an interesting fact or quote from that year. If you don’t mind marring the fact page you can consider this single-sided and use your markers – just put a piece of copier paper between just in case. There are coloured thumbnail pictures of the covers on the inside back and front covers to inspire you. Although the pages are not perforated they can easily be removed
The paper is a medium weight with good tooth, so is perfect for pencils. The pictures mostly feature a couple obviously due to its source material, but there is enough variety in the different styles of covers from various eras to keep you interested. It is a wonderful nostalgia trip for lovers of romance novels and is perfect for lovers of vintage glamour too, with its various fashion styles and it forms a fascinating historical record.
